Have you ever felt like your energy and marketing speak two different languages? You’re pouring effort into your business, but something feels…off. That’s exactly where I found myself not long ago.
The truth is, how we feel day-to-day—our energy, mindset, and clarity—directly impacts how we show up in our business. For me, reflection journaling has been a game-changer. Now, hear me out because, let me tell you, it wasn’t always easy.
Today, I’m sharing how I’ve struggled to make this habit stick in the past, the pivotal realization that completely shifted my approach, and the incredible ripple effect it’s had on my energy, my clarity, and how I show up in my business and life.
This practice isn’t just about “feeling good” (though it does that too). It’s about creating a solid foundation to lead, market, and grow confidently and authentically. My journey might spark something for you—and maybe it’s the reminder you need that how you feel matters just as much as what you do.
Let’s dive in.
Journaling has always felt like a road I was meant to travel, but I struggled to stay on it for the longest time. I’d start strong, fueled by motivation and good intentions, only to drop the habit within weeks. And I was hard on myself every single time. I blamed my inconsistency on everything: life was too hectic, I was too tired at the end of the day, or the journal itself wasn’t “right” for me.
Months would go by without a single entry until I’d pick it up again, convinced this time would be different—only to repeat the same cycle all over again.
During that phase of my life, I felt completely untethered. My mind was scattered, my thoughts foggy, and I held onto emotions that weighed me and my attitude down. I constantly felt stuck in fight-or-flight mode. Falling asleep was a battle, and staying asleep felt impossible. I was burned out, running on fumes and snapping at my family on the really bad days.
Then, at the end of last year, my health hit a breaking point. Suddenly, everything stopped. My only job was to heal, and for the first time, I had no excuses not to give journaling an open and honest try.
I started small—writing how I felt day-to-day, mostly as notes to share with my doctor. My entries were short and simple, almost like bullet points: what I ate, how I slept, what flared up, and how my energy felt. It wasn’t about perfection or consistency but about capturing enough to remember what had happened.
Here’s what happened next…
To my surprise, something shifted. For the first time, I stayed more consistent than ever before. Those little notes helped me communicate better—not just with my doctor but with my family, who wanted to understand my progress. It was a turning point.
Over time, I started adding more detail. My quick bullet points evolved into complete entries, sometimes reading like screenplays of my day. And that’s when I started noticing patterns in my thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Some were helpful, others limiting, but seeing them on paper made them real.
That awareness was everything. It empowered me to make small, intentional shifts in my life—the kind of shifts I’d been craving for so long.
Slowly, but steadily, I began to experience breakthroughs, mindset shifts, and a new sense of clarity. Journaling became the foundation for creating a lifestyle that supports my mental, physical, and spiritual health. It has literally become a non-negotiable for me.
But let me be real
I don’t journal every single day. Just last night, I was exhausted and feeling unwell. By 9 PM, I could hardly keep my eyes open. I knew if I forced myself to journal, it wouldn’t be meaningful—it would be going through the motions. So, I listened to my body and went to bed instead.
This morning, I woke up, pulled out my journal, and gave myself the space to reflect. And there it was—those “a-ha” moments I’ve come to treasure. That’s the difference I’ve learned: journaling isn’t about perfection or obligation. It’s about intention. When I approach it with curiosity and openness, it never fails to guide me back to myself.
Journaling has helped me gain clarity, reconnect with my true self, release emotions, uncover limiting beliefs, and even sleep better. But most importantly, it’s shown me something I didn’t fully see before: I am my greatest tool. Not the journal, not a specific method or workbook—me.
Reflection journaling has become the anchor of my personal and professional growth, and now I want to bring this powerful practice to you. Each week, I’ll deliver something simple yet transformative—a single question designed to shift your perspective and get to the heart of what’s holding you back.
Here’s what you can expect
- Simple: One question to focus on for the week.

- Actionable: A chance to reflect and take inspired steps toward your goals.
This isn’t just journaling—it’s a way to reconnect with yourself, break through old blocks, and show up in your life and business with clarity and purpose.
Thank you for joining me on this journey. Your willingness to grow, reflect, and take action inspires me, and I’m excited to walk this path with you.
